Yarns: 
Elle Family Knit DK (11 wpi)
Small amounts 
Hooks & Notions: 
Hook 2, 50 mm 
Yarn needle

Abbreviations: 
CH – chain 
SL ST – slip stitch 
SC – single crochet 
HDC – half double crochet 
SC2tog - single crochet 2 STS together (decrease)

Notes: 
I use US Crochet stitch terminology. 
Due to the nature of this pattern – the yarn and hook used is only a suggestion and any substitute may be used. 
Size of finished product will vary depending on yarn and also size of hook used.

To fit doll 11.5 inches (Barbie sized doll)

INSTRUCTIONS:


Messy Bun Hat:
CH 26
SL ST into first CH to form a ring
Rnd 1: work 1 SC into each CH all around (25 SC); SL ST into first SC worked.
Rnd 2: CH1; work 1 HDC into same ST; work 1 HDC into each SC all around (25 HDC); SL ST into first HDC worked.
Rnd 3: CH 1; work 1 SC into each HDC all around (25 SC); SL ST into first SC worked.
Rnd 4: CH 1; *work 1 SC into next 3 SC; SC2tog. Repeat from * all around (20 SC); SL ST into first SC worked.
Rnd 5: CH 1; *work 1 SC into next 3 SC; SC2tog. Repeat from * all around (16 SC); SL ST into first SC worked.
Fasten off and weave in ends

Matching Scarf:
CH 61
Row 1: Work 1 SC into 2nd CH from hook; work 1 SC into each Ch until end of row (60 SC); TURN
Row 2: CH 2 (counts as 1 HDC); work 1 HDC into each ST until end of row (60 HDC); TURN
Row 3: CH 1; work 1 SC into each ST until end (60 SC); TURN
Repeat rows 2 and 3 one more time.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
